  1. If there's one piece that shouldn't have forward motion, it's a piece that simply arpeggiates the whole time, doesn't have a melody, and endlessly repeats the same rhythm. The most significant thing, I think, about this piece is how it moves forward from this simple, 2 count arpeggiated pattern that repeats in every measure, changing ever-so.
  2. For an minute album that sounds, paradoxically, as tight and focused as anything Prince has released, Sign ’O’ the Times was born from a number of stalled projects and should have, by all rights, sounded like a bloated set of B-sides. (Not that a collection of his unreleased material from this project wouldn’t still be a monster classic.
  3. May 22,  · The weirdest example I own is “Voices In Motion” by Simon Rady (on Epic,) which pretty much sounds like a voice mixed chorus chasing each other around an oval track on roller skates. Because of the way his records were made (piecemeal, due to the tape speed effects,) David Seville’s original Chipmunks LPS have voices and the orchestra.
  4. The kind of album I'd personally only imagine turning on if I was some angsty preteen after slapping my mom, locking myself in the bathroom and draining her top-quality hair conditioning down the toilet, but otherwise, I'd rather take my chances with the 'nanny' music they play at my doctors' waiting room.
  5. Forward Motion is a song by Relient K. It is the fourth track on their album Two Lefts Don't Make a Right but Three Do. It was released as the second single from the album.
  6. The albums should be notable, which is defined as significant coverage from reliable sources that are independent of the subject. For additional information about bands formed, reformed, disbanded, or on hiatus, for deaths of musicians, and for links to musical awards, see in music.
  7. View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the CD release of Forward Motion on Discogs. Label: Cellar Live - CL • Format: CD Album • Country: Canada • Genre: Jazz • Fred Stride Jazz Orchestra - Forward Motion (, CD) | Discogs.
  8. Ostensibly a Beach Boys/Jan & Dean tribute album, the album has an impressive pedigree of talent behind the scenes: Engineered by Chuck Britz, who oversaw many of the Beach Boys original albums, with the "orchestra" presided over by session drummer Hal Blaine, and produced by Sloan & Barri (of Fantastic Baggys fame), it sounds more polished and.
